Dr Gulhane is a doctor and a Scottish Conservatives politician who has been a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the Glasgow region since May 2021. He is the first Hindu and first man of Indian descent to be elected to the Scottish Parliament and currently serves as the Scottish Conservative Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care.
By profession he is a doctor. After moving to Scotland in 2011 he worked as an orthopaedic registrar in hospitals in the city and East Kilbride and after that as a general practitioner in Glasgow. Since 2017 he has also been Club Doctor as part of the medical staff of SPFL football club Queens Park F.C.
Before moving to Scotland Sandesh was based in Birmingham and Newcastle upon Tyne, and before that London England where he was born and educated.
